Of course, we’re not supposed to have favourites but I must admit I absolutely love working with children and young people (CYP).
Why? A couple of reasons, I love their energy and quickness to understand how their brains work and how hypnotherapy helps and I also feel very passionately that in today’s times it is all too easy for them to feel overwhelmed, anxious and stressed be that from exam anxiety, bullying, social media pressures, eating issues or anything else. I'm seeing a lot of emetophobia in this age group at the moment too, which often correlates highly to underlying anxiety.
When they understand why they feel this way and that it is in their power to make positive changes, we are able to work together to make changes to help them feel happier & calmer, more in control and confident, cope better and develop a more positive and resilient mindset. And just as importantly, I help them identify what works (we are all different of course) in terms of developing coping strategies and tools to manage their mental health.

They’ve had a really tough time during this pandemic so this is not surprising.
