I work with clients who want to better understand and strengthen the internal factors that influence how they perform, lead, and respond to challenge. Using a tailored approach, we work to promote greater self-awareness, mental flexibility, emotional steadiness, and self-mastery.
I also support clients with anxiety, stress & overwhelm, low confidence and phobias. Whether the challenge is personal, professional or often a combination of both, the aim remains the same: to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more in control.
The Approach
Our work together aims to support calmer and clearer thinking, greater resilience, and a more effective and intentional response to demanding situations - moving beyond simply coping with pressure towards building the capacity to grow through it.
I help people reduce anxiety and better understand and update the beliefs and patterns that may be holding them back, equipping them to develop more constructive ways of thinking, feeling, and responding.
My approach is rooted in my training, clinical experience and lived experience. Before retraining and moving into private practice, my first career was in investment banking. That firsthand experience of operating in pressurised environments means that I understand the unique pressures many of my clients face.
Additionally, my understanding of resilience is personal. Having navigated adversity and built success from challenging foundations, I know what it takes to remain steady when the ground shifts beneath you.
We live in an era where generic advice and algorithmic frameworks are instantly accessible. But for smart, motivated individuals, understanding the theory is rarely the problem—actually breaking the cycle and changing how you respond is. Automated tools and programs can't replicate the clinical intuition, cognitive nuance, and shared understanding of lived human experience.
Because of this, our work is never based on abstract concepts or ideas, it is grounded in your day to day reality. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership—combining your absolute expertise in your own life with my clinical strategy to clear the mental blocks holding you back and restore your forward momentum.
Over my years in practice, I have worked with hundreds of clients across the UK, working through a wide diversity of complex challenges. I work with professionals navigating constant corporate restructuring and acquisitions—helping them build the strategic resilience necessary to endure buy-out periods and carefully secure their exit. I also partner with high-achievers looking to break cycles of compulsive overthinking so they can truly switch off and re-engage with family life; individuals managing the delicate balance between home-working and career progression; clients facing health-related anxieties following life-changing events; and students facing intense academic pressure.
Whether we are resolving a deep-seated phobia, adapting to a major (planned or unplanned) life transition, or clearing the mental blocks around public speaking, a sporting event or something much more impactful, the goal is always to restore your clarity and control.
The approach I use draws on a range of recognised therapeutic models and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based approaches, clinical hypnosis and elements of NLP and EFT where appropriate. This allows me to tailor sessions to your individual needs and to focus on practical, constructive ways of supporting change.
A solution-focused approach means we spend less time dwelling on the problem itself and more time exploring where you want to get to, what strengths and resources you already have, and what may help you move forward. The aim is to support meaningful, positive change in a way that feels manageable and relevant to you.
Although we cannot change past experiences, we can work on reducing the impact they may still be having in the present. Where certain thoughts, feelings, or patterns are holding you back, the work can help you develop a different relationship with them, so they feel less disruptive and less limiting over time.
We can also focus on how you want to experience your present and future, drawing on your own strengths, resilience, and internal resources. These can sometimes become harder to access when confidence is low, stress is high, or unhelpful patterns have become established. My role is to support you in reconnecting with those resources, so that you can move forward with greater clarity, steadiness, and confidence.
The best outcomes are achieved through a collaborative approach, working together in a way that feels supportive, focused, and tailored to your needs.
