Fear is another of our most useful survival mechanisms. It is what lets us know that we need to take care of ourselves and the people in our lives. It is what tells us that we need to take action in certain situations.
However, when fear starts to become out of proportion to the object or situation that elicits fear, then it has started to transform into a phobia. A phobia can be a learned behaviour or it can result from an experience. It is possible to be phobic towards almost anything; common phobias include dentists, heights, flying, water, clowns, spiders and many others. Phobias really serve no useful purpose and can limit and negatively affect our lives, and in some cases cause panic attacks. This can be extremely distressing and further exacerbate the phobia.
If you are affected by a phobia, please don’t feel you are stuck with it. Hypnotherapy can help you conquer your phobia in just four sessions. Phobias are negative templates stored within the subconscious mind which can be subverted through hypnosis and NLP techniques and then rewritten to more useful and positive ones.

"Tracey helped me with a phobia of public speaking that I’d been struggling with since my teens (I’m now in my 40s). It was limiting my career and really affecting my confidence. We worked on reducing stress and then specifically on the phobia itself, unwinding and erasing my unhealthy and incorrect brain patterns I’d been following for years and then reset them. I went from being a jelly-legged, sweaty mess, reading from a script, to delivering a talk on stage and without notes within weeks of working with Tracey. It has changed my life. Can’t thank you enough Tracey - you’re wonderful!"
Thank you for visiting! Please note that I am now practicing in Stockbridge, having moved from my previous clinic in Chandlers Ford. Google is still showing the old address, but I hope that this will be corrected very soon.
